RedKey Education Policies
Satisfaction Guaranteed
We are so confident of the quality of our tutoring services, that we offer the following guarantee to clients who purchase a package of tutoring hours:
If a client is not satisfied with the tutoring services after the first tutoring session, the client may either have the tutor replaced with a different tutor, or receive a refund of the package price. After the first tutoring session, if the client is not satisfied with the tutoring services, the client is entitled to request a tutor change, and RedKey Education, LLC will fulfill this request as best as possible (given the available tutors).
Privacy
RedKey takes very seriously the personal relationship that exists between the company, its staff and tutors and our clients and their children. We never share any information about our clients with anyone outside the company. And the only people inside the company who have access to your personal information are the staff and tutors who need the information to provide tutoring services. Personal information includes names, including first and last names of children, ages, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses, and of course credit card information.
Guardian Presence
Barring the circumstance of a tutor meeting a student in a public space such as a library or café, an adult (at least 18 years old) must be present somewhere in the home at all times during a tutoring session. If an adult is not present, the tutor may not conduct the tutoring session.
Responsiveness
Whenever you reserve a new tutoring package with us, our goal is to respond to your reservation quickly and arrange your tutoring schedule within three business days.
Late Tutors
Barring an emergency or an Act of God, if a tutor is more than 15 minutes late, the client will be credited that full hour. If a tutor is more than 35 minutes late, the client will be credited the cost of the full session.
Appointment Cancellation or Change
It is customary to give your tutor one week's notice of an appointment change or cancellation. If a client cancels or changes an appointment between 24 hours and 8 hours before the scheduled start time of an appointment, the client will be charged one-quarter of the cost of the would-be session. If the client cancels within 8 hours of a tutoring session, the client will be charged for half of the price of the would-be tutoring session. There is no charge to the client if the tutor is independently forced to reschedule or cancel.
Client Absentee
If a client is not present for a scheduled tutoring session when a tutor arrives, the client will be charged in full for the would-be session.
Independent Contracting
RedKey has invested considerable time and expense in finding, training and managing its roster of tutors, and in developing the systems and operations necessary to provide top-quality educational services to its clients. For that reason, our tutors are forbidden from contracting independently with any RedKey client, past or present, whether during the tutor's service with us or after the tutor leaves our service.
Clients for their part, in accepting our services, agree that they will not indepently contract with any of our tutors. Any independent contracting between the client and tutor, either while the tutor is commissioned for RedKey Education, LLC, or at any point thereafter, is strictly prohibited.
Tutor Conduct
RedKey Education takes very seriously its responsibility to clients and makes good faith efforts to screen all of its tutors and select only the most responsible and reliable individuals to deliver our educational services. Nonetheless, all RedKey Education tutors are independent contractors, and RedKey Education is therefore not liable for their speech or behavior. This exclusion includes during tutoring sessions, in transit to and from tutoring sessions, and the periods in-between tutoring sessions.
